Product Description It’s Not the Score, It’s the Trip tells the tale of a man who was driven, smart, and eager to be wealthy, from his early days with his, by most standards, huge family, led by a father who was his guide, mentor, and hero. He fell in love, twice: once with college friend Nancy Tofanelli and later with the insurance industry. Both relationships were defined by compassion, and each came to define his life. Brian O’Hara is an ordinary man who landed at a place and time in history that gave him the opportunity for an extraordinary life, and who recognized where he had landed and took the lead during some of the most remarkable years in the history of the financial services world. Review Praise For It’s Not The Score, It’s the Trip “This memoir is a fascinating, real life, discerning glimpse into the challenges, the defeats, and the victories that built a business and made a man.” MICHAEL DOUGLAS, Furthur Films “On the surface, this delightful book is about one man’s life and especially his building of a highly successful business; but it really stands as an instructive celebration of a great entrepreneur’s capacity for wild rides and as a manual for the immeasurable importance of getting culture right in any institution. In both arenas, Brian O’Hara has much to teach us all.” MIKE MCGAVICK, former CEO, XL “More than just a business memoir, this is a human portrait of a husband, father, colleague, and friend. Brian O’Hara is a man who knows how to live life boldly with a heart full of gratitude―amid the highs, the lows, and everything in between. This book offers a look into the mind of a born leader, with lessons and insights that transcend business and wisdom that can benefit everyone.” THOMAS J.
