OSD Audio’s ISS8 High Power Speaker Selector is a versatile and affordable speaker switcher that distributes audio from a high current amplifier to up to eight pairs of speakers. Ideal for whole house audio systems with in-wall or in-ceiling speakers, this high-quality selector includes front-mounted push button controls to play any pair, a combination of pairs, or all pairs simultaneously. For larger whole house audio systems, OSD Audio’s ISS8 High Power Speaker Selector is an affordable way to distribute audio to up to eight pairs of speakers or eight listening zones. This durable unit includes dual source inputs so you can toggle between two audio sources, and front-panel push buttons allow you to quickly turn each pair of speakers on or off independently. In addition, selectable impedance matching protection circuitry helps safeguard expensive gear so a single amplifier can safely power up to eight pairs of speakers without risk of damage The low-profile design fits into a cabinet or equipment rack, and the ISS8 gives you the freedom to play any pair, a combination of pairs, or all eight pairs simultaneously with no noticeable drop in volume. As an added bonus, we include die cut labels that fit within the recessed area on the buttons so you can label your audio zones (e.g., Bedroom, Kitchen, etc.). Since it’s important to us that installation is a smooth and easy as possible, we upgraded the ISS8 with removable European-style input/output connectors that give you better leverage when terminating cable than traditional spring-loaded terminals. This unit is constructed of 16-gauge steel with a durable black powder coating and gray silk-screening, and the ISS8 includes impedance-matching circuitry so you can safely run all eight pairs of speakers at once without damaging your amp. Before you purchase this speaker switcher, keep in mind that it is a passive device, meaning it does not provide amplification. Running multiple pairs of speakers will require a high-current amplifier.
