Imagine being able to reach even the craziest positioned oil filter on a foreign car or truck like a Toyota, Subaru, or honda with ease. Those dang tight spots aren't an issue anymore. We know manufacturers put these things in the worst places sometimes but that doesn't have to stop you. Now (as long as you have a ⅜ or ½ ratchet, or can borrow one from a friend) you can effortlessly take off filters ranging from 2 ¾ inches to 4 inches in diameter. If the filter is accessed from below, use jack stands or a vehicle ramp to be safe. Use a good funnel into a drain pan to catch all the used oil. Remember, once you easily take the filter off, make sure the oil filter ring comes off too and install the new filter and ring by hand only. You don't want to over-tighten the new filter by using a wrench. The wrench is designed to increase the grip the more pressure you put on the wrench. If there is a lot of oil or grease on the filter, you may want to use some grip tape or foam to increase the grip.
