Why is this brush set different from others? ✔As a hobbyist of Chinese Calligraphy I use this set myself. The brushes are very flexible when I write Chinese Characters. I can move freely for the strokes while no need to worry about opening tip. Where to use this brush set? ✔This brush set is good for writing Chinese Calligraphy or Kanji, or sumi-e / watercolor painting. What are the dimensions of this item? Large: overall length=10.8 in (27.3 cm), brush tip diameter*hair length=0.5 in x 1.8 in (1.25 cm x 4.5 cm) Medium: overall length=10.36 in (26.3 cm), brush tip diameter*hair length=0.43 in x 1.46 in (1.1 cm x 3.7 cm) Small: overall length=10.2 in (25.9 cm), brush tip diameter*hair length=0.4 in x 1.14 in (1 cm x 2.9 cm) How to use the brushes for first time? 1 Remove the cap and discard it. No need to use it again for keeping the brushes. 2 Soak the brush tip in warm water for about 5 minutes, and then squeeze the brush tip softly and slowly. Do not squeeze it too hard or the tip may get damaged. 3 Remove the few falling hairs gently if needed. It is normal that very few hairs lose for first time. 4 Soak the brush in warm water for another 5 minutes to dissolve the glue completely. Then the brush will be ready for taking in ink or paint. How to keep the brushes? 1 Wash the brush tip with running water completely. If there is still ink or paint left in the brush it may damage the tip. 2 Hang the brush to let it dry.
