About House Rent Boogie
24 track compilation of Hooker's major label recordings made from 1948-55 features him in his prime, and ties in nicely with Charles Shaar Murray's Boogie Man biography from 2001. Ray Topping's compilation of Hooker recordings contains 6 never before released performances. Of special interest is a version of Key To The Highway without the intrusive vocal overdubbing from Eddie Kirkland. There is also a version of In The Mood with Hooker (probably) on overdubbed harmonica.
