About Hose Master Masterflex Stainless Steel 321 Flexible

The Hose Master Masterflex stainless steel flexible metal hose assembly, suitable for high-pressure chemical, gas, oil, or hydraulic transfer operations, consists of a hydroformed, corrugated 321 stainless steel tube with more corrugations per foot than the Hose Master Annuflex series for a tighter bend radius, uniform wall thickness, flexibility, and resistance to high temperatures; and a cover reinforced with a single braid of 304 stainless steel for the strength necessary to reach its maximum pressure rating. This hose can withstand temperatures up to 1,200 degrees F, and comes equipped with two factory-installed 304 stainless steel male National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threaded hex fittings. This hose assembly is suitable for a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications, including automotive, gas conveyance, food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical transfer, or other applications where the chemical and heat requirements exceed the protections offered by rubber, metal, or plastic hose. Industrial hoses and hose assemblies transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses or hose assemblies, use the STAMPED method to help determine the type of hose needed: S= Size (ID, OD, and length) T= Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported) A= Application (industry or process) M= Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration) P= Pressure (maximum working pressure) E= Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose) D= Delivery method (volume and velocity) The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses and hose assemblies are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation. Hose Master manufactures metal hose, hose assemblies, and expansion joints. The company, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Cleveland, OH, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001:2008.
