Different styles will provide different amounts of strength, depending on the configuration. So, how much strength do you need? Here are a few rules of thumb: 2-rod legs are suitable for all low projects from cabinets up to coffee tables. They're also suitable for 2-3 person benches and light side tables. 3-rod legs are suitable for heavy side tables and 3+ person benches. They'll also handle work or dining tables up to 130lbs.
