V/S button can realize two functions: 1, shifting the two ways of display: only time, or alternate between time/date/temperature in cycles. 2, turning on/off Sound Activated Function. It means that it controls whether display stays on or not. For how, please read through the instruction. How to adjust brightness: (only work in Display Alternating Mode) 1, Make sure your clock is set to alternate between time , date and temp; 2, Press and hold "UP" button until you see "8:01" on LED display. 3, Then press "UP" again to change to "8:02" and "8:03". You could notice that the clock is diming. "8:01", "8:02" and "8:03" are representing the three options of brightness. Please check it out now.
