About Heidolph Tuttnauer 3870Elvc Vertical Top-Loading
The Heidolph Tuttnauer 3870ELVC vertical top loading autoclave (model HEI-023210606) is an 85 L/22.5 gallon electric sterilizer with a 15 x 27” (diameter x depth) chamber, a built-in printer, cooling coils, two large wire baskets, and a 208 V power source. It has a built-in printer for documenting Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), such as temperature and elapsed time at the end of each cycle, and an RS-232 connection for transferring data to a PC. The autoclave has four adjustable programs with temperature selections from 105 to 137 degrees C (221 to 279 F) with sterilization times up to 59 minutes for simplified and reproducible operations. Cooling coils around the chamber increase the cooling times after sterilzations. The top-loading autoclave comes with two large wire baskets for maximizing space in the chamber by holding instruments, liquids, laboratory equipment, and other items to be sterilized. A digital display continuously shows temperature, pressure, and running time. Every stage of the cycle is automatic and micro-processor controlled from water-fill, to sterilization, exhaust, and drying. The autoclave has a low water alarm for notifying the user when the reservoir needs to be refilled, an in-line particle filter to protect valves, and standby heating to keep the chamber warm in between cycles. A battery backup ensures retention of settings and controls in the event of a power failure. The stainless steel 316 Ti chamber capacity is 85 L/22.5 gallons and its dimensions are 38 x 68 cm (15 x 27 inches) (diameter x depth); exterior dimensions are 96 x 65 x 50 cm (37.80 25.59 x 19.69 inches) (H x W x D ), and it weighs 100 kg (220 lb).
