About Hayden 2005W Side Opening Universal Inlet Valve White
The innovative design of this side-opening valve reveals a modern look to those traditional vertical-opening valves. It has also provided an opportunity to accommodate installation on the baseboard, which is becoming increasingly popular among home owners. This side-open door fits most existing mounting plates and can be used for new homes or to upgrade most older inlets. Side Open inlets provide easier access to the hose port. The full size door can open 180° to swing out of your way when plugging in your vacuum hose. The door hinge spans the full height of the valve for extra support and durability. The hinge spring is tuned to provide the perfect balance of closure resistance and easy opening. The concealed door hinge rod and spring display a clean finished look. The surface of the inlet valve has an ultra fine texture providing a matte finish.The valve can also be painted if necessary. This is a low voltage inlet, commonly referred to as a 'universal' inlet and allows hose control of your vacuum system. A hose with a pig-tail corded cuff is required in order to run a powered beater brush with universal inlets. Fits all standard low-volt and universal (pigtail) 1.5" central vacuum hoses. Fits all Hayden, Vaculine and most other inlet mounting plates with the standard 3-7/8" two screw vertical mounting. This valve is non-electric, without the built-in high voltage receptacle. A hose with a pig tail corded cuff is required in order to run a powered beater brush. Mounting plate for behind the drywall is not included.
