They typically consist of a metal nozzle called a bubbler head that provides an even stream of drinking water, a metal bowl to collect and drain water, a stream control mechanism such as a push button, and a pedestal or wall-mounted support that holds these components at an accessible height. Drinking fountains that provide a refrigerated water stream are called water coolers. Public fountains are subject to federal regulations for accessibility by disabled persons and various government health standards.Haws Corporation manufactures drinking fountains, electric water coolers, hydration stations, and emergency equipment.
