One important part of Halloween to him is dressing up. So he searches through his owner's stuff to find the perfect scary costume. He finds an old sheet that would make a perfect ghost costume. The only problem was that it did not fit, so the dog barked to get the attention of his owner. His owner came and fixed his ghost costume perfectly so it would fit him. Outside while walking around, the dog saw so many strange things that frightened him. He saw children all around going to doors saying 'trick or treat.' They were dressed up in costumes that he had never seen before. He rang one of the doorbells and got a bone for his bravery. After a long and fun night, the dog finally decided it was time to head back home. Tired out, he fell asleep in his bed thinking about how much fun he had and how he couldn't wait for the next Halloween. I thought Halloween Loooong Dog was such an adorable Halloween read. The main character is a dog who just wants to have the right costume to go trick or treating. Children love animals so the fact that the book is about a dog will surely draw attention. We follow the long dog on his adventure going around the neighborhood dressed as a ghost and experience Halloween night through the eyes of a dog. The illustrations are beautifully done and fit with the storyline perfectly. Jessica Neal has created a fun read to share with your kids during the fall season. - Tiffany Ferrell for Readers' Favorite ★★★★★ This is a cute heart warming story about a loooong dog who doesn't like to be left out. His favorite holiday is Halloween. He likes the costumes and the scares. He also liked dressing up. He never takes anyone with him on his walks, he just enjoys them. He sees a jack-o-lantern that gives him a fright. He also watched kids at a door, ring the bell, yell trick-or-treat, then the owner jumps out and yells "Boo!". Fun times!!! The rest of his night is for you to listen/read. This is a great bedtime storybook or an anytime storybook. I can see it being a favorite for the Halloween season. The illustrations make it lovely to look at. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you. - Werecat 2 ★★★★★ I read Short Adventures of a Looong Dog, Halloween Loooong Dog, White Christmas. my fave was the Halloween and Christmas reads most. but such great illustrations ...very cool. so fun!! great colors ...so happy and fun. check this series out. - Elizrdbth Speaks
