About Guitar/Bass Fret Wire - Widest/Highest JUMBO Size
This is six feet of premium 18% Nickel-Silver fret wire, in handy pre-radiused 8-inch lengths. This fret wire is produced by the best-known German fret wire manufacturers, known for producing the highest-quality fretwires commercially available today. This alloy of 18% Nickel-Silver (actually a combination of copper, nickel and other metals) is the most common material used in modern guitar fret wire. This fret wire is considered to be of EXTRA WIDE (JUMBO) crown width and EXTRA HIGH (JUMBO) crown height, and overall is close to Stewart-MacDonald's #150 "JUMBO" fret wire - actually it is just a little higher! This fret wire can be used to repair/replace frets on an existing electric or acoustic guitar, electric or acoustic bass, or other larger sized stringed instrument, and it is also great for new instrument building. The dimensions are as follows: Size Specs: Crown Height: .057" (1.45mm), Crown Width: .110" (2.79mm), Tang Depth: .074" (1.88mm). A slot width of .023" is recommended for best results when installing this fret wire.
