Hand forged with great attention to detail. This decorative brass brooch features beautiful intricate Norse designs. Viking women of higher status typically wore ornate brooches to fasten their outer garment (apron) which was held up by straps over the shoulders. These brooches were decorated by a cascade of beaded strands between them and are often found in women's graves and art of the Viking period.
