These shower handles are designed to stick firmly right where you place them helping with balance and stability getting in and out of the tub or shower. The ribbed-grip handle means your hands won't slip even when wet. The indicator lights will notify you if your suction is not secure! They are not designed to hold your full weight. Simply clean and dry surface completely, placing each suction cups on a flat smooth tub/tile surface, they cannot have any interruptions at all, lift suction clasp on each end of grab bar, press down firmly on the handle to engage suction, and depress clasps one at a time, ensuring that your indicator light has turned green. If it does not, lift the clasp and try again. - The shower handles are designed to stick to tile, shower glass or fiberglass shower walls and will not stick to drywall or textured walls. The entire suction cup must be completely flat in order to secure properly without interruptions. See pictures for examples. - To determine if this set will fit securely to your shower/tub surface the distance from one suction cup to the other is approximately 4 ¼ inches. - Caution: Please do not use these shower grab bars to place your full weight on as it will not support you. Please be sure the dimensions and surface types are compatible with your needs.
