A versatile tool that makes lifting heavy loads easy with just the turn of a handle, this winch has a variety of potential uses. Many are used for storage platforms in garages, where seasonal items are stored up and out of the way. Just mount the winch, add some rope or cable and a few pulleys, secure a stable platform (usually heavy plywood or something similar), and take advantage of unused space. Once the platform has been raised, attach separate safety lines to the corners. This winch is built for multi-purpose hauling and lifting operations. It is not to be used as a hoist for lifting, supporting, or transporting people, or for loads over areas where people could be present.
