If you're used to riding clipped-in, even a quick trip to the grocery store on your bike with normal shoes feels wrong. But walking up and down the aisles with your cleats clacking once you get there isn't always ideal either. Giro's Grynd Shoes will allow you to pedal efficiently during your next jaunt around the neighborhood or weekend spin class, and then walk around afterwards without wearing down your cleats, slipping on the concrete, or perforating a hardwood floor. The shoes are constructed to look and feel like sneakers as you walk around or drive to your spin class, and they have a recessed two-bolt cleat design that works with or without clipless pedals. The Grynds feature synthetic leather uppers with mesh paneling for breathability. They're secured by a lace-up closure and hook-and-loop strap to keep dangling laces safely contained. Giro adds its molded EVA insoles for arch support inside the shoes and the Aegis anti-microbial treatment keeps them smelling fresh. An EVA outsole makes walking around comfortable, while the cleat zone's nylon construction ensures that it retains stiffness for efficient power transfer.
