The Biography of Electrical Pioneer Leroy "Ed" Parsons, the inventor of cable television. After televison, Parsons went on to become a bush pilot in Alaska and connected the radios of all airplanes flying for Wien Airlines. Later he brought cable television to northern Alaska and helped establish a radio network for the oil industry in the arctic. Known as the Great White Father of Communications in northern Alaska, he was finally acknowledged as the first to have extablished a cable television system in Astoria, Oregon in 1948. This book, written by his son, Mark Parsons, paints a picture of parental alienation between father and son but also documents this great electrical genius talents from an early age.
