2009 represented a year of woodshedding and highprofile touring for Sugar & Gold. Following a seriesof SXSW appearances to sold-out rooms, the bandembarked on a string of dates through the Northeastand Midwest opening for like-minded compatriots OfMontreal. Re-energized, the band returned to the studioand produced the critically lauded AYA Remix EP,released in October 2009 just in time for a six-weekUS tour. After appearances at the Monolith Festival,CMJ, and Austin s Fun Fun Fun Fest, Sugar & Goldreturned to SF to put the finishing touches on theirupcoming LP.
