About Fun And Function's Red Weighted Compression Vest
For calming children (or adults) and providing a steady source of proprioceptive input, nothing is more effective than this weighted compression vest. It uses a combination of pressure and weight to replicate the reassuring sensation of a deep hug. Weights are placed safely in inside pockets and can be easily added or removed. The calming effects brought about from wearing this weighted vest make it useful for a sensory diet and other forms of therapeutic use. Children and adults with autism and those with sensory processing disorders or hyperactivity can also benefit. The available sizes are designed for children ages 5-8, 9+, large children and adults. These weighted vests feature hook and loop closures on the sides for optimal comfort, ideal fit, easy adjustments and fast removal. Soft mesh material on the sides of the vest help to increase air flow for greater comfort. The vests include 2 .5-pound plus 4 .25-pound weights for a total of 2 pounds.
