Finally, a low-cost, professional solution to achieving nice, straight fret slots!; This miter box kit was designed by Ben "C. B. Gitty" Baker specifically to make it easy to cut nice, straight slots in larger (up to 2 1/2" wide) guitar necks and fretboards! It was designed specifically to work with our own fretting saw, but you can use it with other thin-kerf saws as well. This miter box is laser-cut from 1/4" birch plywood and will stand up to long use if treated with care. Openings on the sides allow you to see how deep of a slot you have cut.; This miter box comes as a 3-piece kit, simply insert the tabs on the side pieces into the holes in the base piece (they may be a little snug, so be persistent but not overly forceful), squirt in a little glue, and you're good to go. Two mounting holes for screwing the miter box to a workbench or larger board are also included.; This miter box is designed specifically to work with 3/4" thick necks and 1/4" thick fretboards that are 2 1/2" wide or narrower. It will not work with any neck/fretboard over 2 1/2" in width. It can handle stock up to about 1 1/8" thick, though the slot depth windows don't extend up that far.; Photos showing the saw are for reference only
