About FORZA Hang-on Back Power Filters
The FORZA 40-80 Power Filter is an easy-to-use, dual 3 stage hang on filter that features mechanical, chemical & biological filtration. This Power Filter comes equipped with all the necessary filter media to ensure superior filtration. The 40-80 hang-on back filter utilizes a filtration chamber system with two replaceable filter cartridges enhanced with Aquatops premium Activated Carbon and dual Bio-cartridges. The Bio-cartridges have a maximum surface-area for your beneficial bacteria to colonize, removing harmful ammonia. The largest model in the FORZA Power Filter Series, the 40-80 also includes an adjustable surface skimmer that helps to promote gas exchange and keep the surface of the water crystal clear. The FORZAs innovative and advanced design helps to remove free-floating debris and harmful waste, while eliminating toxic ammonia from both fresh and saltwater aquariums. How Does the FORZA 40-80 work? As water passes through the dual density pads, larger debris is mechanically filtered from your water. Next, it passes through our premium activated carbon inserts where it goes through the chemical filtration process allowing the carbon to remove discoloration, odors, and other impurities from your aquarium water. The final stage is the dual bio grids, where beneficial bacteria convert ammonia and nitrite to less harmful nitrate. For best results, replace the premium activated cartridges monthly.
