The Forney 23032 Industrial Pro 3/8-inch x 18 high speed steel (HSS) tapered pipe tap. Manufactured from the highest quality chrome steel, SAE52100. Although not suited for production tapping, chrome steel is superior to carbon steel and ideal for hand tapping and cleaning out existing threads, offering fewer tendencies to break than most taps.
