Fog machines do require cleaning from time to time no matter what fog fluid or machine you might use. We recommend cleaning your machine after every 80-100 hours of use and prior to any long-term storage. Fog Machine Cleaning Procedures: 1) Turn the Machine OFF, a) Once it has cooled, pour all residual fluid out of the fluid tank into a catch bottle. (No need to waste perfectly good fog fluid.), b) Rinse out your fluid tank with distilled water, 2) Pour 1 Cup of Distilled water into the tank, a) Turn the machine ON, b) After the machine has heated up to the proper temperature, run the machine until almost all the distilled water is used up, c) Then turn Machine OFF, d) Rinse the fog fluid tank one last time with distilled water, 3) Pour 1 cup of Froggys Fully Clean - Fog Machine Cleaner into the tank, a) Turn the machine ON, b) After the machine has heated up to the proper temperature, run the machine until almost all the fluid is used up, c) Turn Fog Machine OFF, d) Empty the remaining Fog Machine Cleaner from the fog fluid tank, e) Rinse the fluid tank with distilled water, 4) Pour 1 Cup of Distilled water into the tank, a) Turn the machine ON, b) After the machine has heated up to the proper temperature, run the machine until almost all the, distilled water is used up, c) Then turn Machine OFF, d) Rinse the fog fluid tank one last time with distilled water, 5) ***THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP***, a) Put a small amount of fog fluid in the fluid tank, b) Turn the machine ON, c) After the machine has heated up to the proper temperature, run the machine until several (5-10) good bursts of fog complete, d) Turn Machine OFF, 6) Store in a climate-controlled area on a level surface. Always store your fog machine with a small amount of fog fluid in the lines and never vinegar. Remember that fog machines are electronic devices and should be stored in a dry area.
