About Fluke I1000s 1000 Amp AC Current Clamp

The Fluke i1000s current probe is a true-RMS sensing clamp for measuring AC current and frequency. For use with oscilloscopes (sold separately), it has a clamp that measures AC current from 100mA to 1,000 amp and frequency from 5Hz to 100Hz. The clamp has two jaws that can close around an electrical conductor up to 54mm in diameter to measure current without touching or interrupting the circuit. A passive filter helps eliminate noise and ring on rapidly rising di/dt waveforms for accurate screen displays. It connects to an oscilloscope through a reinforced coaxial cable and an insulated BNC connector. This current probe meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standards 61010-1 and 61010-02-032. It is rated for CAT IV installations to 300V, which covers measurements at the source of the low-voltage supply such as electricity meters and overcurrent protection devices, and CAT III installations to 600V, which covers items used with enclosed building circuit installations, such as service panel parts, branch circuits, and fixed installations that are connected directly to a building's AC power supply. Clamp meters are typically used by electrical engineers to measure properties of electrical current without physically touching or disconnecting the conductor. Specifications AC current range 100mA to 1,000 amp Frequency range 5Hz to 100Hz Installation rating CAT IV, 300V; CAT III, 600V Standards met EN safety standard 61010-1 and 61010-02-032, CE marking Connector BNC Ingress protection IP40 Weight 1.21 lb./550 g Dimensions 4.37 x 8.50 x 1.77 inches/111 x 216 x 45mm (H x W x D) H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Fluke Corporation manufactures electrical testing tools and software for industrial and commercial applications. The company, founded in 1948, is headquartered in Everett, WA. What's in the Box?
