Excerpt from First Biennial Report, 1909-1910: Accompanied by the Secret Journals of the Senate, Republic of Texas, 1836-1845On August 30, 1909, the executive committee met for the purpose of Opening bids on the shelving for the State Library. Four firms submitted bids. The award was made to the Snead Co. Iron Works of Jersey City. N. J.
