Without any kind of filter the pipette is exposed to contamination by sample and aerosols. Conventional single layer filters do not fully block particles and molecules. Only ep Dualfilter T.I.P.S. provide reliable protection against even the finest impurities. Sterile PCR Clean Filter tips by Eppendorf have an integrated filter made of pure hydrophobic polyethylene without self-sealing additives. These epTIPS filter tips provide protection against carryover and contamination caused by aerosols, and they don't swell up as a result of incorrect pipetting. Samples can then be recovered easily with these tips. They are in line with the special biological purity requirements of a PCR application. The tips are manufactured to the highest possible quality from pure, non recycled materials under cleanroom conditions. They are characterized by defined flow dynamics, low wettability and high thermal stability. ep Dualfilter T.I.P.S. contain well-defined different pore sizes within the two filter layers. The white layer which faces the sample retains drops, splashes and aerosols. The blue layer above it forms a highly-effective double barrier, that reliably binds even biomolecules. 76mm length.
