(Methylcel MC; Cellulose Methyl Ether). CAS #: 9004-67-5. Methoxyl (-CH3) content: 27.5-31.5%. Medium viscosity (2% in water, @20°C): 230-550 cps. Used with polyethylene glycol in the presence of acidic uranyl acetate to stain cryo sections.
