About the Author Betty J. Eadie is the mother of eight children and celebrated forty-eight years of marriage to her husband, Joe, before his passing in 2011. The seventh of ten children, she was born in Valentine, Nebraska, and was raised on the Rosebud Indian Reservation and in Rapid City, South Dakota. Her mother was Lakota Sioux and her father Scots-Irish. Embraced by the Light was her first book.
