EISCO human skin model is used for anatomical study, and is 70.0X life size for display of dermatological structures. The model depicts the three layers of the skin and internal structures for detailed examination, including the sebaceous and sweat glands, hair follicles, erector muscles, arteries, nerves, and veins. The model is hand-painted for accurate representation, and is numbered and includes a key card for identifying features. The model is mounted on a base for demonstration purposes, and is made of durable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic-coated fiberglass. PVC plastic is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength, resisting reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. Fiberglass contains many extremely fine glass fibers in a plastic composite, and is commonly used for its strength, nonreactivity, and to insulate against sound, heat, and electricity. The model measures approximately 42.0 x 30.0 x 6.0cm (L x H x W). (L is length, the horizontal distance from left to right; H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The model is suitable for high school or college students, or ages 13 to 21.Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.EISCO Scientific manufactures and supplies lab equipment for education and industry. The company, founded in 1968 and headquartered in Rochester, NY, meets International Organization of Standardization (ISO) standard 9001: 2000.
