This Eaton Weatherhead 08U-508 rigid hose and flare tube fitting is suitable for connecting a hose to a tube in a range of hydraulic fluid transfer applications. It is made of zinc-plated low-carbon steel for strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. The fitting has a socket with a hose insert on one end for use with 1/2" inside diameter (ID) hoses, and 3/4-16 male Joint Industry Council (JIC) threads on the other end for use with 1/2" outside diameter (OD) tubes. This rigid hose and flare tube fitting is suitable for use in a range of industrial, commercial, and agricultural hydraulic fluid transfer applications. Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear.
