This Eaton Weatherhead 06U-606 steel crimped fitting connects a 3/8" JIC 37-degree female flare swivel connector to 3/8"ID hydraulic hose. The Coll-O-Crimp fitting has an insert that slides into the hose inside diameter (ID) while the outer housing slips over the hose. A crimping tool (not included) is used to compress the hose between the housing and insert to create a tight seal. The fitting is made of low carbon steel for durability and resistance to rupture and is zinc plated for resistance to corrosion. This Joint Industry Council (JIC) 37-degree flare crimped fitting meets the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J514 standards for quality assurance and is suitable for use in hydraulic applications, such as in hydraulic cylinder lines. Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others. Eaton manufactures electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power equipment. The company, founded in 1911, is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
