About Eaton Weatherhead C5205X6X6 Carbon Steel SAE 37

This Eaton Weatherhead C5205X6X6 Flare-Twin adapter connects hydraulic hoses or fittings of different types. It is made of zinc-plated American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) 12L14 carbon steel for tensile strength, hardness and resistance to corrosion. It has a male 3/8" Joint Industry Council (JIC) 37-degree flare on one end and male 3/8" National Pipe Thread (NPT) on the other end for connecting two female threaded fittings. It is 1.43" in length, with a .297" inside diameter (ID) and a 3/4" hex nut. It has a dynamic pressure rating of 4,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and a temperature range of -65 to +400 degrees F. This adapter meets specifications and standards of American Standards Association (ASA), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and is suitable for use in hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing systems.Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others.Eaton manufactures electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power equipment. The company, founded in 1911, is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
