The alarm is with rechargeable transmitter (the transmitter is only rechargeable when working with rechargeable AAA battery), you can also install it with non-rechargeable AAA dry battery, if so, you can't recharge the remote control( transmitter) Difference between EM209( ASIN: B07DN1QBMV): This item EM212 default is with rechargeable remote control but EM209 is with non-rechargeable remote control/transmitter.
