Here's why: The DN-19 accessories package has a couple things that add versatility and performance to this pair of in-ear headphones. First, the dampers are a special addition to this package. They allow you to tweak the headphone tone and achieve your preference bass response. The dampers perform differently with one of the two eartip style (Gray and Black), so it takes some fun experimenting to really pin down what is your ideal match. Other useful additions include the ¼ inch adapter (3.5mm to 7mm) to connect to studio gear and home theater receivers that only feature a large jack. Dunu includes an airplane adapter with these phones (they've rightly assumed we'll be glad to have them on long flights). As far as the sound quality, Tai Chi is aptly named... these phones achieve a symmetrical balance between the key factors that go into headphone sound characterstics. Good bass, without muddying up the rest of the frequencies, defined midrange, and clear and playful (not nasty or biting) highs: With all areas covered, your ears are going to be pleased.
