About The Drixet 6” Cotton Treated Buffing Wheel The Problem: When finishing sanding/cutting or even after polishing you’re left with lots of scratches and bumpy/rough surfaces, etc. How can we remove them? Our Solution: The Drixet 6 Inch Cotton Treated Buffing Wheel that you place on your drill by adding it to a mandrel, and can be easily applied onto anything with no pressure to polish with phenomenal results. Center Hole: The Center Arbor Hole is stiff and it should stay secure on all types of rotary power tools without any problems. Spiral Sewn: The Spiral Sewn Buffing Wheels are sewn spirally from the center of the buffing wheels to close to the edge, The stitching style makes these buffing and polishing wheels tough and great for cutting and course buffing and holds the ply’s together more stiffly. Comparable Compound: Spiral sewn buffs generally should be used with either Black Emery or Brown Tripoli or any cutting compound but it can be used with cutting compounds for removing scratches, or with polishing compounds for final finishing. 80 Ply Thickness This approximately 1” (80 ply) Thickness will help you to apply greater pressure on the surfaces you are working on. Suggestion: It’s recommended to have a separate polishing/buffing wheel for each type of compound used, it’s a good idea to keep the wheel and the compound that you use with it in the same, labeled bag.
