Every other coil is nickel-plated steel, every other coil RARE phosphor bronze. From the Manufacturer ZEBRA™ Acoustic Guitar Strings are made for acoustic-electric guitars with piezo pickups under the bridge or magnetic pickups in the sound hole. By alternating nickel-plated steel and phosphor bronze wrap wires every other coil on a round core wire, DR has created the perfect hybrid string that has significantly better output while maintaining a desirable acoustic tone. They’re ideal for archtop jazz guitars.
