About Dixon Valve HA2576 Brass Fire Equipment, Hydrant
This Dixon HA2576 hydrant adapter connects hose with a smaller diameter to a hydrant with a pin lug for quick disconnect. It has a 2-1/2" National Standard Thread (NST) female on one end for connecting to the hydrant and a 3/4" Garden Hose Thread (GHT) male on the other end for connecting to a hose. It is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. It is chrome plated for strength and durability. Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications.
