About Dixon 16-463 Steel Industrial Hydraulic

This Dixon 16 series steel industrial interchange hydraulic quick connect coupler has a poppet-style shut-off valve, a female NPTF threaded end, an NBR gasket, and connects to an industrial interchange hydraulic quick connect plug. The female Dryseal National Pipe Thread Taper Fine (NPTF) threads connect with male NPTF threads for a leak-tight connection or with male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for a leak-resistant connection. The steel body provides better weldability and greater rust resistance than wrought iron, and the nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) gasket (included) provides high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion, tear, and compression set. The poppet valve helps prevent fluid loss when the fitting is disconnected. The coupling meets the dimensional requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 7241-1 Series B for general purpose quick-action couplings which describes interface dimensions and basic performance requirements. It is used for hydraulic applications in industrial operations. This fitting is used for hydraulic applications in industrial operations. Specifications Fitting-end connection Coupler Hose-end connection ASA flange Valve Poppet style Material Steel Seal NBR Specifications ISO 7241 -1 Series B Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation. Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures pipe and hose fittings and accessories. The company, founded in 1916, is based in Chestertown, Maryland.
