About Dianova Cook -Professional Double Sided Diamond

If you're looking for a high-quality, reliable sharpening tool. Dianova Lapstone keeps any straight edge steel knives constantly sharp. It's also safe to use and works for all types of blades, including high-quality, "hard" steel blades. Knifes, axes, scissors.Dianova Lapstone Diamond Sharpener specification: ♦ Material: Lightweight, stainless and strong composite material. Diamond surface covered by millions of diamonds. Diamond material is Monocrystalline Premium Grades form USA.♦ Application: For every blades knives, kitchen, Outdoor edge cutting tools, GardenTools ♦ Grits: Coarse 350 U.S Mesh (60 micron) & Fine 600 U.S Mesh (30 micron). The sharpening process ❶ The first step is to use the sharpening steel feature provided by the two rounded long sides of the sharpener to determine if the tool's edge is only bent or in need of actual sharpening. If the edge is not recovered by "steeling" it, the diamond coated surfaces need to be used to shape a new edge. Initially a new diamond sharpener can feel quite coarse.     ❷ Second step The groundwork is done using the coarse diamond surface. Hone the edge by making small circular movements approximately as large as a ten pence coin, alternatively using sawing movements whilst allowing the sharpener to drift from the beginning of the edge to the tip. The result of this step will be an edge with a bite, but with a very short lifespan. ❸ Last step, change over to use the finer diamond surface to then achieve a sharp, sustainable edge with excellent cutting ability. The edge will become sharper and better if less pressure is applied during this stage. Finish the process by pulling the rounded side of the sharpener along the edge a few times to remove the honing burr left behind. The result can be tested on the thumb nail, for instance. www.dianova-ab.comwww.dianovalapstone.fi
