Schumacher, Managing Director at User Centric About the Author Peter Jones is associate professor at Toronto's OCAD University, where he teaches in the Strategic Foresight and Innovation MDes program. Peter is an innovation research consultant and founded the firm Redesign in 2001 to advance design and new practices in professions, organizations, and service systems. Peter's healthcare work has focused on information effectiveness in care practice and education, and he has led design and research for leading decision and educational resources for physicians, nurses, and medical students. He wrote Design for Care as a response to the problem of the limited access designers have across the experiences of constituents - in all healthcare sectors we tend to work in narrow slices of access to patients or clinicians, which undercuts the ability to deliver systemically relevant solutions. Dr. Jones is author of Design for Care: Innovating Healthcare Experience (Rosenfeld Media), and previously We Tried to Warn You (Nimble Books, 2008) and Team Design (McGraw-Hill, 1998, republished in 2002). His research and trade articles can be found on his blog designdialogues.comand he shares on Twitter as @designforcare or @redesign.
