About Dear Future Mrs. President
Every day growing up I remember my mom telling me “Joshua, you can be the president of the United States!” Obviously, I didn’t become president, and it was just last year I reached the age where I even could be. However, that reinforcement from her played an instrumental role in the optimistically delusional human I am today. At so many crossroads of my life when people doubted me, told me I wasn’t qualified, said something I’ve now done was stupid or impossible, my mother’s words rang in my mind. "You CANbe the PRESIDENT of the United States." In the current social political climate we are living in, I’ve been thinking more and more about the world I want my future kids to grow up in, and how I want them to be equipped. That was the inspiration for this tiny book. It is probably most timely for females ages 10-40, but I will read it to my future daughter(s), from the crib on up. I hope this letter encourages and inspires an entire generation of incredible women. We need you.
