Dakota Alert MURS-BS-KIT Motion Sensor Kit The Dakota Alert MURS-BS-KIT Motion Sensor Kit provides real-time monitoring in your home or business. It includes one battery-operated MURS Alert Transmitter (MAT) and one M538-BS MURS Base Station. The MURS kit is ideal to use in a fixed location such as offices and retail stores. The MURS Alert Transmitter detects moving vehicles, animals, or people from 30 to 80 feet away. The transmitter employs a Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor so it can only detect large objects that emit heat. So, you don't have to worry about the transmitter detecting a falling leaf. Once the MAT detects an unexpected person, it will automatically send a pre-programmed alarm signal to the M538-BS Base Station. The M538-BS MURS Base Station Radio uses a low-power, short-range service. It can operate in Very High Frequencies (151.820~154.600MHz) but doesn't require an FCC license. The Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS) was created by the US Federal Communications Commission and complies with their strict regulations. The MURS transmitter is readily expandable. Conveniently pair 1 or 5 MATs in one M538-BS Base Station. Even if you're inside the staff's waiting room, you'll still know if someone enters your store. The expandable system is equally helpful in a campsite. Because the MAT detects large animals only, you can receive an immediate alert message when a bear enters the property.
