How you can help Bats In an ideal world, we wouldn't lose any of the vegetation crucial to bat success. So, It always helps to set up bat boxes. These will offer a roosting site to smaller colonies and solitary males. As bats are so easily disturbed, it helps to make sure these are in quieter areas with trees nearby for cover. Our bats are often overlooked, but lead interesting lives. Whilst widespread in the country, they suffer population decline and need a helping hand. The CozyGarden Bat Hangout is a high quality bat house that is attractive, cute and enhances the quality of your backyard. Bats are really good pest exterminators and eat lots of bugs helping to protect your garden Our bat house is constructed from quality solid fur timber. Most bat houses have wooden roofs which may eventually degrade in the rain. We've added a tin roof that looks great and keeps the roof dry making our bat house last longer. Bats will love it. It features a grooved bat ladder for easy access. The grooved inner chamber to allow bats easy roosting. The entrance slit is 35mm which is an optimal size for bats. No Maintenance. Entrance slit at bottom is designed so all droppings fall from the box and do not accumulate inside. Enough room for up to 15 bats to call home. Size 41.5 cm (H) x 32 cm (W) x 10 cm (D) approx. Ventilation slit in front allows clean airflow and prevents overheating inside, keeping the bats nice and comfortable. Easy to install. Comes with pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation onto any flat surface. Unlike birds Bats cannot just fly from any position, when exiting the Bat hangout they must be able to drop at least 3 or 4 metres allowing them to fly, so a clear flight path is essential.
