About Corning 6797-200 PC-200 Hot Plate With 4 X 5-Inch

The Corning PC-200 hot plate has a 4 x 5 inch white glass-ceramic top plate, a temperature range of 25 to 550 degrees C, and ten temperature settings. The white glass-ceramic top plate (Pyroceram) provides fast heating and resistance to chemicals and scratches. The hot plate limits the maximum temperature to 550 degrees C. For safety, a hot top light indicates when the unit is over 60 degrees C, even when the power is off. It can hold a support rod (sold separately) for holding an external temperature controller (sold separately). This hot plate is used to heat glassware and liquid solutions for scientific applications.SpecificationsTop plate materialGlass-ceramicTemperature range25 to 550 degrees CWeight1.8kgTop plate dimensions5 x 4 inches (12.7cm x 10.16cm) (W x D)Overall Dimensions4.4 x 5.8 x 7.3 inches (11.2cm x 14.7cm x 18.5cm) (H x W x D) H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Laboratory hot plates are electric or gas-fired benchtop appliances that are used to heat glassware or its liquid or solid contents. Stirring hot plates can stir a liquid solution by means of a stir bar that is spun magnetically inside the vessel holding the solution. Hot plates are commonly used in scientific research, clinics, and classrooms. Corning manufactures consumable glass, ceramics, and plastic laboratory tools under the brands Corning, Costar, Cellgro, Pyrex, Axygen, Gosselin, and Lambda, among others. The company, founded in 1908, is headquartered in New York, NY. What's in the Box? PC-200 hot plate Instructions
