The Core Kitchen, elemental series 7" Santoku knife is not only razor sharp, but beautiful as well. The copper / rose gold finish is striking and the black, soft grip handle quite comfortable. The Granton edge, or kullenschliff reduces the likelihood of sliced food sticking to the blade. Unlike a traditional chef's knife, the santoku has a thinner, lighter blade for more refined slicing. This knife is great for slicing cheeses, cutting meats and general mincing. As with any quality kitchen knife, hand washing is recommended.
