This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features two women standing in the center of the frame. Ms. Lavoie is an artist with a keen interest in art history, which includes not only the old masters, but vintage advertising art which in a number of cases was created by some of the most famous artists of the day. Favorite eras are the art Nouveau and art Deco eras, but anything beautiful or clever catches her eye. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame.
