About Continental Gorilla Yellow Nitrile Mulripurpose

The Continental ContiTech Yellow Gorilla nitrile rubber multipurpose air hose assembly is a nonconductive hose manufactured for conveying air, water, oil, petroleum-based solvents, and sprays in industrial, construction, and agricultural applications that require high oil resistance. Its tube is made of nitrile synthetic rubber and its cover is made of yellow Carbryn (carboxylated nitrile) synthetic rubber, both with a Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) Class A, high oil resistance rating, which means that both components will undergo a maximum volume change of +25% and will maintain at least 80% of their tensile strength after exposure to oil. The cover of this hose is also Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) approved (2G-14C/14) as flame resistant. This hose is reinforced with spiral Flexten (aramid) synthetic yarn for heat resistance and the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 500 psi, and is capable of functioning effectively at temperatures ranging from -20 to +190 degrees F (-29 to +88 degrees C). It is rated with a minimum electrical resistance greater than one (1) megohm per inch of hose length at 1,000V DC, and it comes equipped with two factory-installed steel male NPT couplings. This hose is manufactured for a wide range of applications in factories, construction, agriculture, quarries, mines, railroads, the oil and gas industry, and shipbuilding.
