Review "The Complete Jewish Bible, New International Version: Side-by-Side Reference Edition" (2011) contains the 1998 "Complete Jewish Bible," (New Testament translated from the Greek by David H. Stern; Old Testament is a paraphrase of the 1917 Jewish Publication Society "Tanakh" by Stern). The New International Version is the recently published 2011 revised NIV text. 'Side-by-Side' is the current way publishers have begun to describe what has been called 'Parallel' in the past. The 2176-page, hefty volume is formatted with two columns on each page, the CJB on the left and the NIV on the right. Most proper nouns in the CJB are given Hebrew spellings.
