Using Butyl Deck Flash Barrier will extend the life of your new or repaired deck. The main cause of deck failure is wood rot, resulting from water infiltratuin into the deck structure. By applying Deck Flash Barrier's slip-resistant polyethylene facing material with Butyl Steel-Loc adhesive to the tops of the deck joists before installing new deck boards, you will create a waterproof barrier that self-seals around screws and nails, blocking the primary pathway of water infiltration into the deck joist lumber. Butyl Deck Flash Barrier is made in the USA and contains no VOC's.
